Practical Strengthening of Regulatory and Ethics Oversight on Clinical Trials in West Africa Using Lassa Fever Vaccine Development Projects
Ghana FDA in collaboration with CEPI and PEI are facilitating exposure of ECOWAS countries (with focus on those where Lassa fever is prevalent) to Lassa Fever vaccine development projects by conducting scientific advice and clinical trials application simulations using the AVAREF platform, and foster collaboration between NRAs and Ethics Committees.
Observation of real joint advice and CTA review procedures will provide additional learning opportunities.
